How to Create Return Labels (FedEx.com)Updated a year ago
The following process outlines how to manually create a label on the FedEx website (not from the “Return Shipping Label” link). This method is primarily used for creating CA labels. However, if the Return Shipping Label portal is unavailable or unusable, US labels can also be generated using the steps below. Ensure to input the correct information depending on whether the label is for the USA or CA.
Step 1: Gather Return Information
- Collect all necessary details associated with the return:
- RMA Number: RMAXXXX
- Product Name:
- Product Value:
- Customer's Name:
- Customer's Phone Number:
- Customer Shipping Address: Ensure accuracy of all details.
- Package Dimensions: Refer to the item's specifications on the website.
- Package Weight: Refer to the item's specifications on the website.
Step 2: Log in to FedEx.com
- Visit FedEx.com and log in to your FedEx account using your credentials.
Step 3: Initiate the Return Shipment
- Click on the “Shipping” option from the menu at the top of the FedEx homepage.
- Select “Create a Shipment” from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Choose Return Shipment
- You will be redirected to the FedEx Ship Manager page. Under the “Ship” dropdown menu, select “Create Return Shipment.”
Step 5: Enter Return Shipment Details
- Fill in the following sections with the appropriate information:
Section 1: Return Package To (CA)
- Country: Canada
- Company: Paragon Bay Group Ltd
- Contact Name: Paragon Bay Group Ltd

Section 3: Package & Shipment Details
- Return Label Type: Print
- Number of Returns: Number of items being returned
- Weight: Refer to item specifications
- Declared Value: Refer to item specifications
- Service Type: FedEx Ground (For Hawaii or Alaska, use 2 Day Air)
- Package Type: Your Packaging
- Dimensions: Select corresponding dimensions
Section 4: Billing Details
- Bill Transportation to:
- Canada: Canada-173
- US (TelAdvance): Dallas Returns-1246
- RMA Number: Add the RMA number related to this return/warranty
- PO Number: Add the Order # (optional)
- Invoice Number: IF number (Optional)
Step 6: Generate and Save the Return Label
- After filling out all sections, click on “Generate label(s) and document(s) in PDF format that can be saved to your computer.
Step 7: Attach and Send the Return Label
- Use the following format for your return label:
- Customer Name_RMA#_ReturnLabel.
