Clearing the Bluetooth Cache
- Go to Settings.
- Select “Application Manager.”
- Display system apps. (You may need to either swipe left/right or choose from the menu in the top right corner)
- Select Bluetooth from the now larger list of Applications.
- Select Storage.
- Tap Clear Cache.
- Go back.
- Restart the phone.
Factory Reset and Re-Pairing Process for PowerDot(s)
If the issue persists, a factory reset may improve connectivity to your Android phone. Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Reset the PowerDot(s)
- Turn the PowerDot(s) on.
- Once on, press and hold the power button until the white LED light begins to blink and turns off.
Step 2: Remove All PowerDot(s) Paired to the App
- Open the app.
- Tap on the "My Devices" tab.
- Press and hold down on the device you wish to remove in the app.
- Tap on “X.”
- Repeat steps 3 & 4 if you have a Duo.
Step 3: Remove/Forget/Unpair All PowerDot(s) from the Android Device’s Bluetooth
Step 4: Begin the Re-Pairing Process
- Open the PowerDot app.
- Tap on the “My Devices” tab.
- Tap on "Rescan."
- Turn on the PowerDot.
- Only turn one on at a time if you have a Duo.
- Wait for pairing to complete.
- Repeat steps 3 – 5 if you have a Duo.
Please follow all of the mentioned steps in the requested order. If any of these are missed, you could end up with connectivity issues.
